A particular highlight of the festival is the "opera on the lake," which is performed on the world’s largest floating stage. Visitors are impressed by the unique acoustics and the colossal, technically sophisticated stage design set against the natural backdrop of Lake Constance. A major musical theater production is performed on the lake stage in July and August each year. In 2013 and 2014, the Bregenz Festival is putting on "The Magic Flute" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the world’s most popular operas.
"LGT has always felt connected to the arts and culture. The same is true of our owner, the Princely House of Liechtenstein, who possess one of the largest art collections in Europe," says Thomas Piske, CEO of LGT Private Banking, explaining the reasons behind the commitment made by LGT. "The Bregenz Festival inspires thousands of people every year and is synonymous with high quality-awareness and innovative thinking. These are also values shared by LGT in its Private Banking activities."
