Student Support - Venture Capital team

Job Information

The Student Support – Venture Capital position is allocated directly within the investment team at LGT Capital Partners and is a great opportunity to learn about private markets alongside studies. This role allows you to work part-time (2-3 days) during your semester and full-time during semester breaks. The position is located in Pfäffikon SZ (near Zurich).

The anticipated start date is as soon as possible.

The Student Support role joining the Venture Capital team will have the following responsibilities:

  • Investment support:
    • Management of the incoming deal flow (for both fund investment and co-investments);
    • Preparation of materials for internal discussions;
    • Monitoring of existing investments;
    • Preparation of other materials used in internal meetings and external client presentations;
  • Data & Analytics support:
    • Management of the current code base used by the Venture Capital team;
    • Mapping of use cases together with the investment team, mostly in two areas: 1.) Investment process efficiency (e.g., data retrieval automation and transformation) and 2.) Quantitative Due Diligence improvements (e.g., external data utilization, development and maintenance of quantitative models)
    • Implementation of new use cases, mostly in Python;
    • Collaboration with other departments, namely on shared efforts with Data & Analytics team.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar subject;
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL languages, Database Systems and Object Oriented Programming;
  • Solid English writing and communication skills, including personal or professional experience in an English-speaking environment;
  • Strong interest in enhancing coding skills and broadening knowledge of the venture capital market;
  • Good organizational skills.
