API Gateway Platform Engineer (w/m/d)

As an API Gateway Platform Engineer, you are responsible to build and maintain our API Gateway for our digitalization strategy.

Your specific duties include:

• Create, evolve, and maintain the platform feature roadmap and architecture

• Coordinating activities with other developers to ensure that integration projects are completed on time.

• Provide Tier 3 Production 24x7 on-call support (rotation system)

• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for API gateway application

• Install, configure, and maintain API Gateway application

• Developing an API Portal and Catalogue for our development teams

• Implement, and measure operational strategies to improve application reliability and availability

• Remediate all Security Vulnerabilities related API application software

• Automate repeatable and frequent operational processes and procedures

• Participate in Change, Incident, and Problem management including Root Cause Analysis

You will be working in product-oriented delivery teams with key stakeholders in APAC and EMEA. The international setup offers you to work remotely and in co-location spaces. Your line team is mainly located in Bendern (FL).

• Strong German and English skills

• Experience developing and maintaining APIs

• Experience designing, developing, and deploying large-scale customer facing applications

• Experience with operation of production systems

• Superior programming skills that relate to code development, maintenance, and implementation

• Experience in working with Kafka streaming platforms is beneficial

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Great attention to detail, solution driven and can-do-attitude person

• Familiarity with the API Management eco-system
