Private Debt Investment Analyst

LGT Private Debt is affiliated with LGT Capital Partners and operates as its private debt competence center focused on arranging and underwriting private debt investments for sponsored buy-outs of mid-market companies on a pan-European basis. Set up in 2005, the team of 43 includes 23 investment professionals based in Paris and London and Frankfurt, has completed over 100 transactions, which represent EUR 4.0 billion of committed investments. Job Information

As a Private Debt Investment Analyst your expected tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Detailed assessment and evaluation of potential investment opportunities. This will include LBO modelling, analysis of IMs and due diligence materials, attending management meetings, writing investment committee materials, contributing to investment committee discussions and assisting with negotiation of documentation;
  • Portfolio management including performance monitoring and valuation reporting, assessing waiver and amendment requests and follow-on capital opportunities;
  • Various other tasks including developing origination network, supporting fundraising activities and market analysis.


  • Bachelor or Master degree from a top university;
  • Additional qualification such as CFA, ACA or MBA is desirable;
  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience; ideally coming from a debt or M&A advisory firm, private equity or private debt fund institution or a bank;
  • Strong financial modelling skills and MS Office, in particularly excel;
  • Excellent language skills in English; other European languages would be beneficial;
  • Strong analytical skills with focus on details and high degree of quality;
  • Ability to work accurately and under pressure;
  • Self-motivated and pro-active team player with an independent working style.
